Summary: Dating from 1859, the Aberfoyle Mill is one of several 19th century buildings in Aberfoyle. In 1867, oatmeal from this mill won a gold medal at a world competition in Paris, France. Unfortunately this mill was destroyed by fire the following year, but it was quickly rebuilt as a flour mill.

It continued in operation until the 1920, and in 1966 was converted into a unique dining facility. Today’s Aberfoyle Mill restaurant is known for its seasonal menus and local produce. It offers four charming rooms, each distinctively decorated and named, as well as scenic grounds overlooking the original mill pond and dam.
